Amanda grew up in Eunice, Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in New Orleans. As a young attorney, she practiced Labor and Employment law at Jones Walker. She then went on to clerk for two federal judges, the Honorable Carl J. Barbier and the Honorable Kurt. D. Engelhardt. She also served as a federally-appointed Special Master in the In Re: FEMA Trailer Formaldehyde Products Liability Litigation and, most recently, worked as an attorney at Landry and Swarr, LLC, a law firm that focuses almost exclusively on cases involving asbestos exposure. She is a member of Team March of the Pigs, which supports and aids in the mission of Hogs for the Cause, a non-profit organization that provides relief to families with children being treated for pediatric brain cancer. Amanda lives in Belle Chasse with her husband Brian, their three children, and golden retriever.
